GSC’s Technology, Transparency and Trust Summit

November 7th, 1:30 PM, NYC

In a time when supply chains expand the globe, supply chain analysis using nuanced technology is the most effective way to ensure a transparent supply chain from your Tier-1 supplier to smaller suppliers. Estimates show that emissions from an enterprise’s supply chain are four times higher than those of that company’s direct operation, yet without a consistent mechanism to measure emissions along the supply chain, approaching supply chain mapping can be challenging. At the Global Sourcing Council’s Technology, Transparency and Trust Summit, leaders from company’s such as Citibank, J.P. Morgan and Co., Pirelli and CDP addressed these challenges, and presented ways to utilize new technologies to ascertain a comprehensive understanding of one’s supply chain. In this way, a company can then gain a clear understanding of their supply chain’s global carbon footprint, as well as create a safe work environment for their employees on all tiers.
